Spanning video installation, sculpture, installation and  film, Baris Dogrusoz's multifaceted practice is mainly based on research into the cultural histories of the Mena and Turkey region. His practice is manifested through techno-political investigations and speculative scenarios. Dogrusoz  creates works that interrogate the notion of territory, border, ecosystems, scale and cross-temporalities, whether physical or symbolic, and examine how fragmented elements such as found footage, military material, archeological artifacts and codes operate as a prequel or premonition for a near future fiction.

He is currently based between Istanbul and Beirut.
